Why doesn't the USA make solar palm trees? We could make solar trees that look like palm trees, and imbed the solar cells into the palm leafs. Then we could install them in between each street light pole. I think making them out of CFPC "carbon fiber plastic composite" is a good idea. That way It would withstand strong winds and last for many decades! It would be wired to the power grid like street lights and bolted down...Making them easy to install, replace and repair. We also plan to use modular solar photo voltaic's by: http://www.solyndra.com/# . This would redefine where and how solar panels can be used. No longer taking up large amounts of land or limited to buildings roof tops. The solar palm is pleasing to the eye...resembling nature. Talk about going green! This concept would give you a solar power plant equivalent by using existing municipal land. There for you would not have to buy land to build a solar power plant!
